About This Lodge

Entim Mara delivers an intimate and expertly positioned safari experience in the heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve. This tented camp is designed to immerse guests fully in the rhythm of the wild, blending simplicity of design with luxurious comfort. It is recognized for providing unparalleled access to the Masai Mara’s wildlife drama, allowing guests to begin their game drives directly where the action takes place.

The camp atmosphere is grounded and confident, offering a relaxed environment for seasoned safari-goers and first-time visitors who prioritize unhurried observation. Entim promises a front-row seat to the landscape’s greatest spectacle, supported by the attentive service of experienced Maasai guides.

Location & Setting

The camp holds an unrivalled position deep within the Masai Mara National Reserve, situated directly along the banks of the Mara River. This geography places the tents next to a critical river crossing point utilized by migratory herds.

Its central location ensures that guests can spend maximum time viewing wildlife, without the long drive times required by lodges located near the park boundaries. The camp overlooks the sweeping open plains and riverine forest, providing a quiet base from which to experience the Mara’s vast scale and year-round density of predators.

Accommodation

Entim offers twelve spacious guest tents, each raised on a wooden deck to maximize views over the Mara River. The design uses light wooden finishes and natural earth tones, ensuring the interiors harmonize with the outdoor environment. Every tent is a private retreat, featuring a comfortable sleeping area and an en-suite bathroom with hot running water.

The focus is on providing a seamless connection to the outside; the large private veranda acts as a quiet extension of the living space, allowing guests to watch animals move to and from the river in comfort and privacy.

Facilities & Experiences

The communal heart of the camp is the open-fronted dining deck, where meals are enjoyed while observing the movements of wildlife along the river below. Guests can relax in the lounge area or share the day’s stories around the open fire pit under the clear African night sky.

For photography enthusiasts, the camp features a dedicated Photo Studio equipped with Apple iMacs and professional software like Lightroom for immediate editing and review of captured images. Evenings conclude with traditional Maasai warriors escorting guests to their tents, reinforcing the camp’s deep connection to the land and its people.
