About This Lodge

Mara Chui Camp is a mid-range resort situated on the eastern edge of the Masai Mara National Reserve. It offers a comfortable and accessible safari experience, with easy access to the wildlife area.

The camp design blends into the surrounding woodland, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. It provides a simple base for travellers who want a home-like stay while engaging in active game viewing. The resort is renowned for its attentive staff and dedication to providing a comprehensive safari package.

Location & Setting

The camp is located less than one mile from the Oloolaimutia Gate, bordering the eastern section of the Masai Mara. It is set on the banks of the Oloolaimutia stream and overlooks the Inguetat Hills.

Its position allows guests to begin game drives quickly. The camp is situated in a wooded area, providing natural shade and offering a chance to spot small animals nearby. Access is by a 5-6 hour road transfer from Nairobi or by a short flight to the Keekorok Airstrip.

Accommodation

Mara Chui offers 41 chalet-style rooms and cottages, accommodating up to 96 guests. The rooms feature plastered walls and reeded roofs, offering a solid structure with a traditional African look.

Each unit is self-contained and comes equipped with comfortable bedding, mosquito nets, and a private en-suite bathroom. Guests have access to 24-hour hot water and electricity. Room types include standard, deluxe, twin, and family units.
